I have read a lot of people saying who made what mistake etc. etc. etc., but none mention this mistake: since the last free throws were so important (there was really no guarantee that Hill would make them), then the Cavs should have put their best rebounder in the free throw lineup!! TT was OK (though he really didn't give enough effort to counter Green's box out, IMO), but JR Smith certainly wasn't their best rebounder! Of course, it turned out he did a great job and grabbed the rebound, but the Cavs really should have put LBJ in that position!! LBJ is one of the best rebounders if he puts his mind to it (he usually doesn't put too much effort on it since he also has other tasks to do), due to his leaping ability and strength. If they had put TT & LBJ on the lineup, they would have a good chance of grabbing the rebound if Hill missed. There was no need for LBJ to be at the back court at that time since Kerr had ordered a timeout before the free throw, and other Cavs players could do the defense too. Of course, if LBJ were in that position, he would have grabbed the rebound and probably also scored and they would have won the game.... |
